(X-Men Unlimited II#1/1 (fb) - BTS) - Hwang Do Lan tutored Chung Yu in the art of Kung Do Karate, Yu was considered to be his best student.
(X-Men Unlimited II#1/1 - BTS) - Chung Yu would go on to become the personal bodyguard of arms dealer Voldemir Zhivago. When Yu one day fought X-Man Sage she searched the net for all the information of Hwan Do Lan and concluded he looked like a clumsy amateur.
