Powers/Abilities: While Blade was a vampire with a lust for human blood, it was unrevealed if he possessed the typical, traditional abilities that most vampires had, including the ability to transform into a bat and enhanced physical attributes. He did possess at least a slowed aging process, if not complete immortality, as well the ability to destroy any virus consumed within the blood of his victims.

History: (Marvel Knights Millennial Visions 2001 - "Humanity's Last Hope" (fb) - BTS) - Born nearly two hundred years ago, the man known as Blade became the world's first vampire and was unable to contract Earthly diseases. By 2021, when humanity was on the verge of creating a cure to its greatest threat, the HIV virus, the virus began mutating and splitting into ten different strains, even multiplying several times within a 24 hour period. No longer limited to blood transfusions or intimate contact, the now-airborne HIV virus became also infectious via perspiration and hair follicles. The worldwide spread of the virus incited quarantine and martial law as governments went bankrupt combatting the disease and the rich spent fortunes on personal scientists to find a cure.

(Marvel Knights Millennial Visions 2001 - "Humanity's Last Hope") -  In 2025, Blade was captured in Windsor, North Carolina, where extensive testing proved that he was 197 years old and immune to all Earthly diseases. Realizing that vampire blood was the key to destroying the HIV virus, as well as all diseases that threatened the world, Earth's remaining military forces mobilized to track down any and all vampires. Civilians soon joined in the hunt, with some offering themselves as bait to lure out vampires, and the vampire race was forced to retreat underground, feasting on rodents and other animals. As captured vampires were intensely studied and dissected, other vampires chose to die fighting rather than spending their final days cowering in fear, leaving a once-predatory race to become humanity's prey.

One can only assume Earth-8772's Blade had the same height and weight as his Earth-616 counterpart, although Blade-8772 was a full vampire whereas Blade-616 was only a half-vampire.
