History: (Marvel Super Hero Squad II#3) - When the Infinity Sword artifact shattered, raining fractals down on the Earth, one of the fractals fell into the ocean, embedding into the body of a jellyfish. The jellyfish immediately began growing and soon made its way onto land, having grown to monstrous size. Captain America learned of the Slime's rampage and quickly contacted his teammates in the Super Hero Squad ready room, informing them of the monster's invasion of Broadway. As the Slime oozed down Broadway, it safely absorbed anything in its path, from people to automobiles, bringing the absorbed items with it as it continued its trek. Admitting that slimy things gave him the heebie-jeebies, Captain America announced that he would not be joining the other Squaddies on their mission and Iron Man let out the call for Super Hero Squad to hero up. By the time the heroes made their way to the Slime, it had grown even larger than it had appeared on their video screen earlier and after explaining to the Hulk that it was not snot, Iron Man led an aerial assault with Thor and Silver Surfer. Noticing that the aerial assault proved ineffective, Wolverine began a ground assault with Hulk and Reptil, which proved equally pointless, as the Slime sealed up any damage it received. When the Silver Surfer's cosmic power appeared to hurt the Slime, it began launching some of the absorbed items at the heroes and when Hulk began snacking on the pieces of the Slime that Wolverine carved out, the Slime absorbed the Hulk into its body as well. Falcon and Reptil eventually retrieved the villainous Mole Man for his monster expertise but Mole Man remarked how gross the Slime was and complained about having been pulled away from a search for more fractals for Doctor Doom, Iron Man noticed the fractal shard inside of the Slime. Working with Wolverine to communicate with the Hulk inside of the Slime, Iron Man had Hulk head straight for the fractal and retrieve it. Upon doing so, Hulk was transformed into a pirate while the Slime returned to its normal jellyfish size.
