History: (X-Men Millennial Visions -
"Freedom Force" (fb) - BTS) - Following the X-Men's ultimate death
while saving Washington, D.C. from a Genoshan mutate invasion led by
Fabian Cortez, deposed Genoshan ruler Magneto gathered a group of
heroes to fill the void left behind by the X-Men. In his quest to
gather heroes, Magneto recruited Juggernaut, half-brother to the
deceased Charles Xavier, Jean Grey clone Madelyne Pryor, known as the
Goblin Queen, the time-lost Exodus, the shape-shifting Mystique and
Sabretooth, cured of his savage killing tendacies by Xavier himself.
(X-Men Millennial Visions - "Freedom Force") - To
honor the fallen heroes, Magneto christened his team the X-Men and led
a revolution against his former lieutenant Fabian Cortez. Not content
to just win the battle, Magneto and the X-Men pledged to win the war by
carrying the battle to Genosha itself, where Magneto intended to regain
the throne that he was once forced to vacate.
