History:

(Ruins#2) - In this world of heroes, men on fire flew in the upper reaches of the air, while women danced in stilettos on clouds.

The good men came and dragged President Tricky from his retirement palace and kicked him to death.

And they showed President X Washington and everyplace else, and it made him cry until he promised to fix it all.

And good things happened every day.

And walking in the streets became like going to church because there were high fashion angels in the sky...and the people clapped and cheered.

And good things happened every day.

Comments: Created by Warren Ellis, Cliff & Terese Nielsen, and Chris Moeller.

Phil Sheldon of Reality-9591 dreamed of this world. Obviously, in an infinite multiverse, even a dream reality matches some actual reality, so the dream is the first appearance of that reality...perhaps behind-the-scenes...

Reality-9591 is about as dark a present-day reality as you'll find. The reality of which Sheldon dreamed seemed to share some characteristics with Reality-9591, such as having a President X, but there were also successful heroes and the possibility of redemption/improvement.

President Tricky is, of course, meant to refer to Richard M. Nixon, the 36th president of the United States, who will be forever remembered for the Watergate scandal; for this, he gained the nickname "Tricky Dick."
You can "Google" Nixon to find out more about who he was and what he did.

As Phil Sheldon is dreaming and narrating, he says "we" for some of the things the people did, presumably indicating he was there, too.

The super hero with his back turned looks a lot like Mar-Vell, but it could be Giant-Man or others...
