(Ultraverse trading card #53 (fb) - BTS) - Harry Jannsen was trained extensively in combat techniques and made it to rank of lieutenant in an unrevealed (presumably military) organization. He was made liaison between the government and a covert group linked to the CIA. Due to a lack of funding, his division was eliminated and his secrets made him a marked man. Bitter and resentful, he vowed to use his skills to stop the covert organization's double-dealing ways.

Comments: Created by uncredited writer & artist.

I'll slot this one in as another Ultraverse character that was intended to appear, but was never realized.

The same card series identifies Aladdin as a covert organization linked to the CIA, so I'm guessing this was meant to be Cutback vs. Aladdin.

The plot reminds me of an amped-up version of the 1975 movie Three Days of the Condor.

The art style and initialed signature suggest the (co-)creator is Howard Chaykin.

Profile by Grendel Prime.
