History: (Daredevil I#78 (fb) – BTS) – To celebrate new successes in his writing career, George Alec (a Yale graduate) and his wife Dia (whom he sometimes called "Dee Dee") moved to New York City from Connecticut.

(Daredevil I#78) – George pulled Dia into an alley for a kiss when three criminals, Bull, Itch and Freak-Face, accosted them, seeking to kidnap them as experiments for the Professor. When Bull wanted to enjoy Dia himself, George stood up to him, calling Bull a troglodyte, and Bull began hitting George as Dia begged him to stop. Daredevil intervened, fighting off the criminals with George helping DD fight the trio off. Daredevil took George and Dia to district attorney "Foggy" Nelson for help but Nelson refused. He then took the Alecs to the home of Matt Murdock, whom he said was out of town, so they could stay safe. Later, they went out for a hamburger, not knowing that Freak-Face and Itch were looking for them.

(Daredevil I#79) – George and Dia were taken to the Professor, who was prepared to experiment on them. George tried fighting back but was ineffective until Daredevil arrived, then Man-Bull and Daredevil battled. The hero got the Alecs to safety and soon defeated Man-Bull. Although Daredevil offered to let the Alecs keep staying at Matt Murdock's home, they met up with Gardner instead.
