History:

(Bizarre Adventures#30 (fb) - BTS) - The woman who would become Razor received her powers from the  Interplanetary Security Agency (ISA).

(Bizarre Adventures#30 (fb) - BTS) - Razor joined an ISA Strike Squad including fellow ISA mutates Fire and Ice, the latter of whom became her lover.

(Bizarre Adventures#30 (fb) - BTS) - Fire, Ice, and Razor worked together for a sufficiently long time to become familiar and comfortable together.

(Bizarre Adventures#30 (fb) - BTS) - ISA Central informed their strike squad that a contact would come to lead them on Titan in investigating a rebellion amongst the servant species and suspicion that there was a mole in the ISA.

(Bizarre Adventures#30 (fb) - BTS) - Fire worked as bartender at an unspecified bar on Titan, and Ice and Razor posed as customers.

(Bizarre Adventures#30) - On Titan, Paradox adopted Saturnian form and entered the bar in which Ice and Razor were enjoying drinks at a table. After a fight broke out between Terrans who didn't want a Saturnian drinking with them, and Paradox (with whom Fire sided), Ice sensed and then voiced to Razor that the "Saturnian" was not what he seemed. Reminding Ice she couldn't physically see him, Razor queried what else he could be. When Ice responded "our contact.", Razor exclaimed, "Saturn's Rings! But, of course, you'd know, would you, love? A telempath always knows." Razor then guided Ice away from the conflict and told her to stay out of danger while she joined the conflict and "leave the rough-housing to Razor!" Ice complained about telempathically feeling Razor's assault upon their opponents. Fire asked Razor why she had joined the fight, and Razor responded that Ice had said the "Saturnian" was the contact ISA Central had said would come lead them.

After their victory, Razor noted their cover was completely blown, but that she was getting tired of "hanging around this fleabag, anyway." Paradox said, "Thank thee, Terrans for aiding an alien," but when Ice voiced her awareness of his multiple nature, Paradox revealed his nature as a metamorph and confirmed him to be their operations leader, Paradox. Razor wondered over his coming to Titan to skrag rebels and aliens given his recent conflict.

A "few phases later," having melded into the Titanian substrata to surreptitiously gather information on rebel operations, Paradox led the ISA Strike Squad to a warehouse in which the food stores smuggled off Mercury by the rebels were allegedly being hidden. Paradox noted that the rebels might have wanted them to track them to their lair and into a trap. Calling Ice, "Ice Darling," Paradox asked her to scan the warehouse; irritated, "Razor" asked why the "darling," but Ice told her, "don't be jealous, not now...I need to concentrate." Meanwhile, Paradox noted that by taking out the Terrans at the bar, they had raised questions about themselves, and they (the rebels?) were going to be wondering if they had any sympathies for the rebel cause. When Paradox revealed he was a result of ISA genetic engineering, Fire revealed that he, Ice, and Razor had been similarly mutated and that he sometimes wondered -- since they weren't exactly human anymore -- whether he, Ice, and Razor didn't deep down have some sympathy for the rebellion. Paradox enigmatically responded, "Do you now?"
When Ice noted that she sensed strangeness...vegetable vibration...sentient-thoughts...plants, Razor responded that the rebels were known to be stockpiling food, and Fire responded that he bet the "carrot-tops" were growing food in there. Paradox noted this to be in direct violation of Terran law, which held that all agriculture must take place on Earth, though he added that rebels didn't get to be rebels by obeying the Empire's laws. Razor asked whether they should report or raid the rebels; Ice noted that she still didn't sense any thinking life-forms; and Fire wondered if the mole might have tipped the rebels to their raid and that the rebels might have fled, leaving behind their food stores. Fire further reasoned that if that were the case, their mission must be to destroy the food cache and then locate the rebels themselves before they could disrupt the Emperor's arrival on Titan.
As the Strike Squad approached the warehouse, Paradox lagged behind and then leapt to the upper levels to enter through a window, while Razor asked Ice what was bothering her; when Ice answered "Paradox," Razor acknowledged that he bothered her, too. Unaware of Paradox's separation, Razor and Ice gathered behind Fire as he burnt a hole through a wall with his hand.

Upon entering, they saw many rows of massive tanks of food, and Ice suddenly sensed the rebels present before she was killed by a rebel's blaster. As the rebel Saturnians confronted them, Razor embraced her dead lover, wondering why she hadn't sensed the rebels, after which she appreciated gaining laser vision in addition to razor-nails from the ISA; as she used the former to blast the walkway out from under some rebels, she noted that she may have loved Ice because Ice couldn't see at all, while Razor saw through killing lenses. Fire identified a mindscreen on a slain Saturnian, which is what had blocked Ice's scans. An enraged Razor noted that alien possession of mindscreens was a capitol offense, as they were unavailable to anyone outside the ISA. Further noting that the mole had betrayed them, Razor wondered where the Hell Paradox was. Meanwhile, Paradox took the form of a domestic cat to approach the Saturnians unnoticed, after which he returned to his standard form and slew numerous rebels and took out the vegetable tanks in the process. As Fire burnt them a path out of there, and Razor, carrying Ice's body, told Paradox of Ice's fate; Paradox told her that he knew.

They passed through pathway Fire created, but as the door was blocked, Paradox directed them to an opening that led to the sewers. Razor soon noted there was no way out, but Paradox, in Jovian form, ripped a hole in the wall, through which they all descended. Paradox claimed to have sought another way into the warehouse only to encounter the main body of rebels, through which he had fought to where he could aid them. Razor reminded him that he wasn't in time to save Ice, and Fire accused Paradox of having led them into an ambush. Razor noted the mole who had infiltrated the ISA had betrayed them to the rebels, but Fire countered that the only ones who knew about them was themselves, and that the mole might be one of them. Paradox surprisingly admitted to being the mole and fatally blasted the stunned Fire in the chest. Razor asked him why he had done it, and Paradox revealed his sympathies to the servant species, brought on by the fatal torture of his lover Catherine DeLys. Razor noted that act to be as bad as Paradox's betrayal of Fire and Ice, which had cost her a lover as well, but Paradox apologetically noted that he couldn't allow the Strike Squad to upset the rebellion's plans. An enraged Razor leapt at Paradox, telling him he was going to be worse than sorry...dead, and the struggled knocked them below the sewer water's surface, after which Razor's form emerged alone.

(Bizarre Adventures#30 (fb) - BTS) - Paradox apparently slew and impersonated Razor.

(Bizarre Adventures#30 (fb) - BTS) - Numerous Saturnian rebels had voluntarily sacrificed themselves to lull the ISA into believing the rebellion had been smashed on Titan

(Bizarre Adventures#30) - The next phase, at an ISA command post on Titan, as the Emperor approached, "Razor" used her laser vision to destroy the consoles controlling the Emperor's descent, causing him to fall into Saturn's deadly atmosphere. "Razor" then revealed herself as Paradox and took out ISA forces that tried to stop him; on every colony world there was rejoicing. Paradox left Stanhope amongst the Empire's ruins, believing that the Terrans and Colonials would ultimately be forced to regard each other as equals and develop a new society.

Comments: Created by Bill Mantlo, Mike Vosberg, and Joe Jusko.

It is ASSumed that Razor perished in her assault on Paradox, but we don't know that for certain.

The image to the right comes from the cover, by a different artist. The woman at the top is supposed to be Razor, but her face, hair style, and eyes (obviously, she's not wearing a monocle or cybernetic eye deal) look fairly different. Artistic license, I'd guess.

So, in a nutshell, the ISA employed Paradox to lead the ISA Strike Squad in uncovering a mole, stopping rebels plots, and protecting the Emperor. However, Paradox actually was the mole, and he facilitated the Strike Squad's deaths while making it appear the rebellion had been smashed.

Thanks to MarvellousLuke for the image clean-up!
