Powers/Abilities: Peter Parker was infected with a raging mutant virus that he could uncontrollably transmit to others via touch. Once infected, those who had the virus would eventually die from it.

History: (Ruins I#2 (fb) - BTS) - Peter Parker was a science major in college and a freelance photographer for the Daily Bugle who worked to pay for his college tuition and to keep up his aunt. One day, during a college experiment, Peter purposely irradiated a spider that soon bit him.

(Ruins I#2 (fb)) - Unaware that the spider had transferred a mutant virus into his body, Peter visited the Daily Bugle and shook hands with photographer Phil Sheldon, who had always disliked Parker and thought of him as a lousy photographer. When he shook hands, Parker unknowingly infected Sheldon with the mutant virus.

(Ruins I#2) - As the dying Phil Sheldon strove to document what could have been an age of superhuman marvels in a photography book, Peter Parker had taken to living on the streets, covered in a viral rash and having lost most of his hair.
