History:

(Black Panther IV#26 (fb) - BTS) - The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) decided to counter Israel's national hero Sabra by introducing a super powered being of their own. Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein volunteered to conduct and oversee the brutal trials held over the OPEC-influenced Middle East in an attempt to find the fittest among all warriors.

(Black Panther IV#15) - After an extensive search, but two warriors remained to fight for the honor of becoming the newest Arabian Knight. When the man who would become knight prevailed and slew his opponent, he was rewarded with the magical sword, blessed armor and flying carpet that befitted his new title. Hussein, trying to bolster the Arab people's morale, proclaimed to convert Wakanda to Islamism. However, he learned there was already another Knight active who served a similar purpose. The black ops division of the Vatican had only recently assigned Black Knight (Augustine du Lac) the task of reverting the Wakandan nation to Christianity. Not amused by the comparison, Hussein figured he had to beat the Vatican to the chase and ordered the Arabian Knight to Wakanda and engage the Black Panther. As the Knight arrived, the Panther was about to propose marriage to the mutant Storm. Unimpressed at the Knight's boasting admission he was there to kill infidels, the Panther quickly took the intruder out while Storm finished him off with a bolt of lightning. Defeated, but relatively uninjured thanks to his blessed armor, the Arabian Knight hit the ground.

(Black Panther IV#26) - While working at the United Nations on behalf of the Wakandan nation, Storm approached the OPEC delegation with a proposition to join forces against the potential threat of US-super-forces. The delegation wasted no time pointing out the irony of this proposal, reminding Storm how only recently she and the Panther had brutally beaten their champion, the Arabian Knight. When a puzzled Ororo admitted she could barely remember the Knight incident, the outraged OPEC delegation stormed out.
