Powers/Abilities: Virilian was a powerful but reckless and greedy demon. He was vicious, yet in a human guise, he would be charming to those he sought to seduce into unfair pacts.
History:
(Strange II#3 (fb) - BTS) - Eager for their daughters to win the crown of the child beauty pageant in Bibb County in Georgia State, mothers made a deal with the demon Virilian, not realizing that the other mothers had made the same pact; he then posed as pageant coach. Virilian was a mass harvester of souls and made unfair pacts, including with politicians. He had a small pocket of Hell where he had already carved out many spaces for the souls still to be claimed, including those of the children. Laroximous "Larry" Boneflayer, a retired demon and soul collector, was outraged at Virilian's audacity and high volume, and so sought out Dr. Strange to stop Virilian.
(Strange II#3) - Larry was able to find Dr. Strange and took him and his new apprentice, Casey Kinmont, to the pageant where Kinmont's body was regressed to that of a child so that she could infiltrate the pageant and uncover Virilian's scheme. However, smelling magic on her, Virilian forced her to stay at his side. She realized finally that Virilian had made pacts with all the mothers to unwittingly sacrifice their daughters' souls. Despite the penalties imposed on demons who would not deliver on their pacts, Virilian had already harvested so many souls that the cost would be insignificant to him. However, Virilian's reckless behavior had altered the laws of magic so much so that magic itself was falling apart. Kinmont sacrificed her soul to save the children while Larry seemingly destroyed Virilian, eating part of his body.
