History:
(Thor I#218 (fb)) - Billions of light years from the Milky Way galaxy, there existed another galaxy, host to many races, beings who had put aside their physical differences and had learned to build together. They erected strange pathways from world to world, silver paths between the stars, and by using their mystic paths, they started a mighty culture. For eons, this culture and civilization, Ry-Leph (see comments), grew, reaching to close the gap between that galaxy and the Milky Way.

(Thor I#218 (fb)) - One day, however, the Black Stars (the traveling world vessels of the Rhunians) arrived, passing from the void between the galactic spirals and destroying the star-spanning culture of the Ry-Leph in a single day and night. Using galactic matter scoops, the inhabitants of the Black Stars swept up the remains of Ry-Leph, as they'd swept the remains of other galaxies throughout time.

(Thor I#218 (fb) - BTS) - In the Milky Way galaxy, the Rigellians received and translated a recording from a capsule sent from the Ry-Leph, detailing their fate. From this, they learned of the Black Stars.

Comments: Created by Gerry Conway, John Buscema, and Jim Mooney.

The Rigellians identified the culture as Ry-Leph, based on their name for the myth of utopia. It is unclear if that was its true name or not.

Seems a bit excessive to have physical pathways from world to world throughout the galaxy. Perhaps Ry-Leph was instead a star system, or perhaps they actually traveled via stargates...or something?
