History: (Journey into Mystery I#101/3) - When humankind had still to reach the Moon the Idylicans were already able to travel into space. Their culture was dedicated to study and research and among the populated worlds they were an exception Idylica was the only place where war did not exist.

Idyilicans were led by Prince Sunor. During his leadership, they became aware of a great danger: the Vulcanians. Thanks to electronic spectroscopes they could watch events happening on far planets and learnt that the Vulcanians were their worst opposite: brutal, warmongers, conquerors and cruel. They also knew that Rakku, the Vulcanian leader did not attack Idylica because the Vulcanian starships had not enough fuel to cover the distance between the planets and go back. Sunor knew that one day the Vulcanians could discover a new kind of fuel and attack them. He nonetheless followerd the spirit of Idylica of no weapons and no war.

But after a while the impossible happened. The entire Vulcanian race left their planet on an enormous fleet of starships. They were performing an invasion without return to Idylica. The Idylicans were desperate. They didn't build weapons before and in one month they could not build enough weapons to stop an attack of that proportion. But Sunor did not trust in weapons and instead showed his faith in the Idylican science and intelligence.

One month later the Vulcanians arrived on Idylica and landed. The cities were deserted without any lifesigns seen. When the Vulcanians walked on the surface they discovered that they couldn't. The gravity of the planet had been altered! The Vulcanians floated helpless in mid-air. The Idylicans had caused subterranean explosions changing the gravity of Idylica. Then, while the Vulcanians were travelling, the Idylicans were travelling too, to Vulcanus. The Idylicans had greatly limited the Vulcanians, so that they could not have time to wage war against any other race. In contrast the Idylicans had easily settled on Vulcanus.
