Powers/Abilities: Mike Nero was a brave, skilled fighter and shooter. He had knowledge of the supernatural and gathered various relics in this area, including handguns that could fire magically charged bullets. He wore his uncle's armor, which included a steel-mesh bodysuit that covered him from head to toe plus a steel face mask with infrared image amplifiers so that he could see in the dark. His reinforced vest was covered with silver nitrate to protect him from attack by supernatural creatures who are repelled by silver (such as werewolves).

(Dark Reign: Made Men#1/5 (fb)) - Charlie Delazny told his nephew, Mike Nero, of the lessons he had learned out in the field and the money to be made in taking on jobs involving the supernatural. Delazny started to train and prepare him to take on the family business. After his uncle's death, Nero took on the arsenal and armor that were his uncle's as the Enforcer.

(Dark Reign: Made Men#1/5 (fb) - BTS) - Nero learned more of how to deal with supernatural threats and started to develop a small reputation, killing werewolves, zombies, a vampire and a Maggia crimelord. As the Enforcer, he also stole an Aztec exhibit from a museum, all within a week before being hauled by the Wrecking Crew before the Hood, who also sought the money he owed to Nicky Bats, a loanshark who answered to the Hood.

(Dark Reign: Made Men#1/5) - In one of his hideouts and surrounded by the Wrecking Crew, the Hood inspected the Enforcer's stash of mystical artifacts and, veiled in threats and condescension, offered him the role of being his supernatural expert. Nero triggered the Aztec amulet, which was actually a creature that fed off demonic energy that then clasped onto the Hood's face. Nero fired magic bullets at the Wrecking Crew and escaped through a glass window, declaring he was just getting started.

Although the issue's cover shows him wearing his white "underpants" over his trousers, the escape scene shows him in just blue pants.

The flashback scene where he's in the restaurant with his uncle has an English language menu with items priced in P, not $.
