History:
(Journey into Mystery II#4/2) - Clifford the Great worked as illusionist in a circus. He had studied things unknown to the people, things that enabled him to perform real magic and not only tricks.
Ona day during an exihibition a boy in the crowd threw a tomato at Clifford. Clifford invited him to experience his powers. With great concentration Clifford levitated the young man. His magic worked, his mind could sustain the effort, but the strain was too high for his heart. Clifford died on stage while his magic still worked and the body of the boy kept going up into the sky...

Clifford was going to do the same experiment with his assistant before being interrupted by the boy. It was probably the first time he tried such a difficult feat.
