Powers/Abilities: Burning Man could fly, was enveloped in flames and could throw fireballs.

History: (Monsters Unleashed #7/1) - 1125 AD - The mysterious figure that would become known as the Burning Man appeared in the Black Forest and started setting trees one by one before flying off. Over time, he continued to appear in the Black Forest over the years, terrorizing locals. At some point, he ventured to a nearby town, flying over the villagers and throwing fireballs in their direction before again flying off into the night, never to be seen again.

Comments: Created by Tony Isabella and Ernie Chua, based on German legends.

As with some of the other one-page stories that appeared in various Marvel horror titles of the time, this was derived from an actual legend, though I have found little information on it online. What was the Burning Man? Early mutant? Mischievous prankster god? Alien arsonist?
