History: (Epic Illustrated#12 (fb)) - The sorceress Lianissa designed the sword Glorywand, placing most of her energy into its forging. She gave it to Wulfbuck to slay the sorcerer Nightgaunt, but Nightgaunt bested him and broke the blade from the hilt. Nightgaunt turned Wulfbuck into a monstrous-looking man, and gave the hilt to his ally Lord Raven.

(Epic Illustrated#11/6) - Lianissa was sought out by the heroes Tyndall, Velanna and Mud-Butt, who hoped that the "Wizard of Skyhook Mountain" could turn back the tide of evil which seemed to be overcoming Weirdworld. When they reached Skyhook Mountain they found goblins preparing to lay siege to the mountain, but Lianissa lowered a bridge of stone so that they could attain access, then destroyed the bridge so that the goblins could not enter. Entering Skyhook Mountain, Tyndall, Velanna and Mud-Butt met Lianissa face-to-face.

(Epic Illustrated#12) - Lianissa told the trio about Wulfbuck and Glorywand, and when she saw that Mud-Butt now owned Glorywand's hilt, she realized that there was still hope. She teleported them to Wulfbuck, and as they tried to convince Wulfbuck to become a hero again, she also appeared to Wulfbuck in a vision to encourage him.

(Epic Illustrated#13) - The Red Mist of Death which Nightgaunt used to slay his former goblin followers began to spread into Skyhook Mountain, and finally claimed Lianissa's life. Lianissa's spirit traveled to the Land of the Dead, but after besting Nightgaunt Wulfbuck was able to use Glorywand to resurrect Lianissa, using the strength of his love for her. Wulfbuck and Lianissa were reunited as lovers.
