Wolf-Head clutches his stolen gold

History:

(Conan the Barbarian#220 (fb) - BTS) - Wolf-Head and his five fellow armed thieves, dubbed the "Mountain Men",  attacked a Turanian gold mining operation in the mountains northwest of the Vilayet Sea and stole a large quantity of gold ingots, all that the mine had, but murdering many of the gold miners in the process. The rogues then left across the icy slopes over a glacier.

(Conan the Barbarian#220) - Conan arrived at the mine shortly after and was told by a dying worker that it had already been plundered. He then set out in pursuit of the thieves, keen to claim some of the stolen gold. Conan finally caught up with Wolf-Head and his small band of rogues as the wolf-hide clad thief berated his men for daring to suggest that they leave any gold behind so that they could move past the hazardous glacier more quickly. Conan demanded some of their gold but Wolf-Head instead commanded all his men to attack and kill the barbarian; however, they were no match for the sword-wielding Cimmerian, who stood his ground while the others slipped on the ice. A tremor suddenly ripped through the glacier with some of the gold falling far down. Conan and two of Wolf-Head's accomplices fell into the new ravine, with the thieves either crushed by the moving ice walls or broken on ledges. While Conan used discarded weapons to climb back up, Wolf-Head had his remaining thieves continue to push the sled holding the remaining gold chests, declaring he should take all the gold for himself when one man suggested they take just one bar each. Conan soon caught up with the injured bandits, but they were suddenly attacked by an enormous cave bear. Wolf-Head scuttled away with one chest of gold while his men fell and Conan dealt with the bear. Conan quickly caught up with the fleeing, greedy thief. Both jumped across ice floes until Conan reached Wolf-Head and the two brawled until they both fell into the icy water, scattering the remaining gold. Both emerged from the icy water and Conan knocked down Wolf-Head on an ice floe before jumping away to escape the nearby waterfall with an ingot. Still stunned, Wolf-Head was left behind as the ice floe fell over the edge into the freezing water below.
