History: (Marvel Vision#18 - Timeslip) - When an object fell from the skies and landed in the jungles of Wakanda, Bashenga formed the Cult of the Black Panther to protect the Vibranium mound left behind. After generations had passed, Wakanda kept secret the Vibranium from any outsiders. T'Challa, the modern-day King of Wakanda, inherited control of the Black Panther Cult and continued the tradition of keeping outsiders away from Wakanda. If anyone strolled too close to the country, they would be found dead soon after of "mysterious" circumstances.

Comments: Created by Jim Krueger and Tommy Lee Edwards.

The Black Panther's reality diverged from Earth-616 when the Kings of Wakanda chose to keep the Vibranium mound secret instead of sharing its secret with foreigners, prior to the events of Fantastic Four I#52.
