Powers/Abilities: Namor had the ability to survive underwater, able to breathe underwater via gill slits under his arms. He could swim superbly due to the webbed extremities. He could see in the murky depths of the ocean and withstand the intense pressures there.
History: (Marvel Vision#20 - Timeslip) - Namor became legendary for his protection of the oceans. Everyone who came into contact with him came back speaking of the legendary fishman who, as some say, was hundreds of feet in size and commanded swarms of ocean creatures. Namor allowed the legends to continue as a warning to those who would threaten the oceans. As years passed, the world stopped all sea travel and dumping into the oceans was prohibited, lest the dumpers gain the wrath of the Sub-Mariner.
