History: (Marvel Vision#6 - Timeslip) - During his school days, Victor von Doom was working on an experiment when his friend and classmate Reed Richards warned him about his miscalculations. Thinking that Richards was speaking out of jealousy, Doom went ahead with the experiment and it exploded, horribly scarring his body. Following the accident, Doom sought other means to gain power and traveled to Tibet where he had the monks there teach him mysticism and forge him a suit of armor. He then returned to his home country of Latveria where he prepared to strike at Richards, who was now famously known as Mister Fantastic of the Fantastic Four.

Comments: Created by Jim Krueger and John Paul Leon.

Doctor Doom's reality diverged from Earth-616's history as recounted in Fantastic Four I#5, when the miscalculated experiment scarred his entire body, rather than just leaving a small scar on his face.
