Powers/Abilities: Stentor's costume houses nano-tech amplifiers which increases his voice's volume to damaging levels - however, after one blast, it requires a fairly long time to recharge. He can also apparently use his costume to fly (or at least glide).
(Venom: The Finale#2) - A few weeks after beginning his super-heroic career, Stentor descended upon the Latverian-American Day parade on 5th Avenue, where escaped government operative Venom was engaged in a confrontation with his former handler, Darryll Smith. With one shout, he incapacitated the sinister symbiote, and tried to get Trish Tilby (who was, unsurprisingly, present) to interview him. Prompted by Smith to finish Venom off, but hindered by his suit's lengthy recharge time, Stentor tried to punch the villain...and missed. Venom, recovering, swiftly shredded Stentor's costume and hurled the underpants-clad hero into the air. Only a web-net from the passing Spider-Man saved Stentor's super-heroic career from having an even more ignominious ending.
(Civil War: Battle Damage Report) - Tony Stark considered Stentor as a potential Initiative recruit.
Comments: Created by Larry Hama, Mark Pajarillo, Robert Jones & Pam Eklund.
This doofus derives his name from Stentor, a herald on the Greek side of the Trojan War, whose cry was deafeningly loud. The adjective "stentorian" and Stentor, a genus of trumpet-shaped protozoans are named after him.
Stentor's real name was revealed in Civil War: Battle Damage Report.
