Paul was one of Carol Danvers' friends and was unaware of her double
personality.
Exceptionally, he managed to see Carol for a gallant date,
but during the dinner Carol had a premonition from her seventh sense. Paul
noticed that something was wrong and was worried about Carol but she left him and became
Ms. Marvel. Minutes later Carol had to fight for her life against Deathbird and
her flat was put on fire by Ballard,
so she never went back to the restaurant to see Paul.
