History: (Ms. Marvel I#7) - The AIM branch led by MODOK had captured Ms. Marvel and needed to test her costume on a human subject, to see if its powers could be used for AIM's purposes and could be duplicated to create an army of Ms. Marvels. MODOK didn't know that the costume's circuits were melted during Ms. Marvel's battle against Grotesk.
Agent M17, a loyal element, was chosen to wear the costume, MODOK ordered her to test the flight ability but she surprisingly fell to the ground. MODOK then tested the costume's force field shooting his mental beam on Agent M17, but the field didn't work so the beam heavily struck the agent, stunning her.
Ms. Marvel, under MODOK's mental control, was ordered to proof her loyalty, killing Agent M17. Agent M17 begged for mercy, but two other AIM Agents held her until Ms. Marvel grabbed her neck. For a few seconds Agent M17 could do nothing against the unrelenting grasp until Ms. Marvel regained her own will. Ms. Marvel slapped MODOK and M17 tried to run away but was easily caught by the super-heroine. She was carried away and then was forced to take off Ms. Marvel's costume. Ms. Marvel left her and continued her raid until she had to flee.

Comments: Created by Chris Claremont (writer), Jim Mooney (pencils), Joe Sinnot (inks).

Some hours before, the costume ceased to function, while Miss Marvel fought Grotesk. AIM and MODOK's suppositions about the costume weren't so wrong.
