Knight Man's origins and history are unrevealed.

(She-Hulk II#3) - At a hearing held by the Time-Variance Authority for She-Hulk, the villain Clockwise gained access to the Retroactive Cannon. As the assembled heroes charged Clockwise, he shot the Cannon at Knight Man, who was wiped from existence, replaced in this particular situation by Doctor Rocket. Rocket was then shot, wiping him out of existence as well.

Comments: Created by Dan Slott, Juan Bobillo, and Marcelo Sosa.

If you didn't quite catch that, the Retroactive Canon could not only wipe out someone from existence, but when it did so, it placed another, similar already-existing hero in their place to fill the "continuity" hole. Knight Man was erased, and Rocket replaced him, only to be erased as well.
