Powers/Abilities: The Hypertron 1.0 armor was capable of firing electric "volt-bolts" and laser beams, and could use a sophisticated computer targeting system to aim them.  The suit also used wrist-mounted air-jets to enhance the power of its wearer's punches.  It also incorporated a flight pack.  With the use of removable hard disks, including Aerobatics and Battle Mode, he could run various combat programs; however, he could only use one at once.  The suit's on-board voice-activated computer included an interactive help program.  The suit's most powerful weapon was the Negative Vortex, an expanding sphere of ionically-charged dust particles capable of destroying time-locks and force-fields.  The armor possesses a vent on its back that if clogged, can cause the suit to become dangerously overheated.

Chester himself is a gifted engineer.  After he lost the Hypertron armor to the Bobster, he wielded an energy cannon and an energy-grapple.

History: (Web of Spider-Man#83 (fb) ) - After eight years of employment, Chester and his colleagues Myron and Timmy were laid off from AIM.  Timmy suggested that they go into business for themselves, and they used their remaining funds and gear they'd stolen from their ex-employer to design a number of high-tech weapons, including the Hypertron harness.

(Web of Spider-Man#83) - Chester donned the Hypertron armor.  Dubbing himself Hypertron 1.0, he robbed a bank in New York City.  Although he successfully neutralized the ban's security systems, he soon encountered Spider-Man.  Switching to Battle Mode, he punched the wall-crawler aside and fled.  Catching up to the high-flying thief, Spider-Man clogged a vulnerable vent on the harness with webbing, forcing Hypertron to land.  Tossing the money away to distract Spider-Man, Hypertron tried to escape on foot, but was knocked out with a single punch by down-on-his-luck PR man Bob Robbins.  Spider-Man turned Chester into the police, and he was bailed out by Myron and Timmy that afternoon.  They activated the harness' homing device only to find out that it had been claimed by Robbins, who had modified the suit and donned it himself, in the hopes of fighting crime (and making some cash) as the Bobster.  Armed with a Cadillac full of high-tech weapons, they tailed him for hours, blowing up sizeable portions of the city.  Spider-Man intervened, disarming Chester and webbing him to his seat.  He soon retaliated with an energy grapple, but was again disarmed...just in time for Bob to activate the harness' Negative Vortex.  Knowing that the Vortex was powerful enough to destroy their power packs, resulting in an explosion large enough to kill them all, Myron and Timmy fled, and Chester was carried away by Spider-Man, still stuck to his seat, and all four were saved from death only by a web-shield.  Spider-Man then webbed up the three engineers and left them for the cops.

Myron and Timmy

(Web of Spider-Man#83 (fb) ) - After eight years of employment, Myron, Timmy, and Chester were laid off from AIM.  Timmy suggested that they go into business for themselves, and they used their remaining funds and gear they'd stolen from their ex-employer to design a number of high-tech weapons, including the Hypertron harness.

(Spider-Man Unlimited III#4/2  (fb) ) - From their base in New Jersey, Myron and Timmy monitored Chester's activities as Hypertron and his subsequent defeat by Spider-Man.  After his defeat, they began tracking the purloined harness.  They drove into the city in their old Cadillac and a small armor of high-tech weaponry and bailed Chester out, putting them into debt.  They then rampaged across the city, trying to recover the Hypertron harness from Bob Robbins, who had donned it in order to become a superhero.  After a few hours, they were attacked by Spider-Man, who destroyed Timmy and Chester's energy cannons, but the hero was soon immobilized by Myron's electrical gauntlet.  Chester and Timmy counterattacked with an energy grapple and a spear cannon, respectively, but they were soon disarmed again...just in time for Bob to activate the harness' Negative Vortex.  Knowing that the Vortex was powerful enough to destroy their power packs, resulting in an explosion large enough to kill them all, Myron, Timmy, and Chester fled, saved from death only by a web-shield.  Spider-Man then webbed up all three and left them for the cops.

Myron and Timmy are gifted engineers.  Myron wore an electrical gauntlet, and Timmy wielded an energy cannon and a spear cannon.

Myron's the skinny blond with glasses, and Timmy's the hefty redhead.
