(Daredevil II#82 - BTS) - Engel paid a call to Director Leland Drummond.

(Daredevil II#84) - Drummond met Engel for dinner and defended himself for his actions in the Murdock case and for denying Murdock bail and putting him in general population. Engel threatened to withdraw his support of Drummond and Drummond’s position itself.

(Daredevil II#87 - BTS) - When Engel received news that the Murdock situation had turned out badly, he called Drummond to let him know he withdrew his support.
