Powers/Abilities: The Chameloids are natural shape-shifters, able to assume the form of any other beast, alien race, or inanimate object. The extent of their abilities are unrevealed.
Traits: The Chameloids possess, in their natural forms, purplish skin and antennas, but are basically humanoid in form.
History:
(X-Men I#107 (fb) - BTS) - The Chameloid race is under rule by the Shi'ar empire. One of their race, known as Hobgoblin (later Shapeshifter), joined the Shi'ar Imperial Guard.
(X-Men I#108-109, X-Men: Spotlight on Starjammers#2, Avengers West Coast#81, Quasar#33, Avengers I#345, Inhumans IV#3) - The Chameloid known as Hobgoblin/Shapeshifter was active in the Imperial Guard.
(Inhumans IV#4) - Hobgoblin was killed in battle, but another Chameloid soon took his place.
(Fantastic Four III#51) - Mistur, another Chameloid, joined Sandorr's Hunters and was killed on Earth.
(JLA/Avengers#1, Uncanny X-Men#477, Uncanny X-Men#480) - The new Hobgoblin was active in the Imperial Guard.

The Chameloids may be connected to the Skrull race, but there is not enough evidence for or against this.
