History:  (Thing II#1 (fb) - BTS) - Hired to steal a prototype device capable of reducing the cost of dimensional travel (later named the Dimensional Wave Inducer) from scientist Bill Foster, Cauldron ran afowl of Foster (recently readopting his superheroic persona of Goliath) and the Thing, giving chase into Manhattan.

(Thing II#1) - Caught up to by Goliath and the Thing, Cauldron attempted to defeat the Thing by boiling him alive. Failing to do so, the Thing knocked Cauldron back, leaving an imprint of his fist over Cauldron's mouth. Refusing to tell the heroes who hired him to steal Goliath's device, Cauldron claimed he suffered whiplash from the Thing's punch, mumbling unintellegably as he was taken into S.H.I.E.L.D. custody.

(Dark Reign Files (fb) - BTS) - Authorities were unable to remove Cauldron's armor or determine his true identity.

(She-Hulk II#6 (fb) - BTS) - Deciding to sue to newly wealthy Thing for damages encurred during their fight, Cauldron hired the firm of Goodman, Lieber, Kurtzberg, & Holliway to handle his case.

(She-Hulk II#6) - The Thing spotted Cauldron -- escorted by Guardsmen -- conferring with his lawyer Mallory Book in the GLK&H offices.

(Dark Reign Files (fb) - BTS) - Caudron's lost his case against the Thing.

(Dark Reign Files) - Quasimodo researched Firebrand for Norman Osborn.

Cauldron received a brief profile in the Dark Reign Files handbook. This profile revealed that Cauldron's lawsuit against the Thing failed, and speculated on his origins, suggesting he/she/it is magically based or that Cauldron's attemtped theft of the Dimensional Wave Inducer hints at an other-dimensional background.
