Powers/Abilities: Wipeout possesses a toxic breath which releases vapors so powerful that they can make people violently ill. Because of his power, Martin cannot speak without releasing his vapors. As Wipeout, he wears a gas mask to contain his power.

History: (Psi-Force#22/2) - Martin was part of a group of homeless men who were saved from a gang by the paranormal George Mullaney, the Mutator. When George's power caused him to mutate into a body of silver, the other homeless men plotted to cut him up and sell him, but Martin opposed them, and drove them off with his breath. When George mutated into a squid-man, he left with Martin, hoping to find a place where paranormals could live in peace.

(DP7#30) <12/15/88>- Martin and George joined the Para-Troop, whose power elite were all paranormals, and Martin took the name Wipeout. When George brought the gang Skeevos and asked them to get rid of local hero Captain Manhattan for them, their leader the Acid Queen was annoyed that they would have to deal with Captain Manhattan because of George. She asked George to choose his punishment-- either her acid touch, or Martin's breath. George chose Martin, and the Para-Troop put on masks as Martin said "Sorry, George." to him, making him so ill that he vomited.

Wipeout helped the Para-Troop capture street-corner Santa Clauses so that they could wear their costumes for their planned attack on Captain Manhattan. They tried to steal the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Plaza just to draw Captain Manhattan out, but Captain Manhattan was joined by his paranormal friends Jenny Swenson, Dave Landers and Randy O'Brien. Wipeout used his power on Landers, but Landers was wearing a scarf over his mouth, giving him just enough defense against his breath to hurl Wipeout against a light display, knocking him out. They left the Para-Troop for the police.
