History: (Avengers I#6) - Tom alerted the other Teen Brigade members to the Black Knight, who was spraying New York with Baron Zemo's Adhesive X.

(Incredible Hulk Annual#17/4 (fb) - BTS) - Tom never got out of Las Vegas, and resented Rick Jones as he heard how Rick had traveled across the Earth and to other worlds.

(Incredible Hulk Annual#17/4) - When Rick turned up in a New Mexico hotel for a book signing for his autobiography "Sidekick," Tom attended a Q&A panel where Rick talked about the Teen Brigade. When Rick left the hotel, Tom tried to run him down in the parking lot with his truck, but Rick was pushed out of the way by James, a fan of his work.

When Rick left an ice cream parlor after thanking James and his girlfriend Brenda, Tom tried to run Rick down again, but this time Rick was alert, and dodged him. When Tom came around for another pass, Rick jumped in the window, and forced Tom to crash the truck. Tom tried to run away, but Brenda hit him with a paint can. Rick confronted Tom, and learned that he was a former Teen Brigade member, and that Rick's autobiography was the last straw for him. Rick was sorry for how Tom's life had turned out, but said he wasn't responsible, and that now Tom had only succeeded in making his life worse. Rick turned Tom over to the police.
