Her armor enabled her to fly and gave her super-human strength through the armor's limbs empowered by built-in endoskeletal extensors.
It also possessed a cannon, a radar and weaponry which wasn't further explained.

History:

(Marvel Fanfare I#44 (fb) - BTS) - As Major of the German army and wearer of a battle-suit she was invited to the first International Symposium on Robotics in Latveria.

(Marvel Fanfare I#44) - She was present at the first International Symposium on Robotics in Doomstadt, Latveria. She was introduced to Iron Man by Avro-X and surprised Iron Man when she revealed to be a woman. She allowed Iron Man to call her Valentina and then started with her demonstration. While demonstrating her armor she crashed into Avro-X who had lost control over his armor. Saberbat fell from the sky and Iron Man saved her and Avro-X before they hit the ground. Saberbat was infected by Doom's computer virus which was carried by Iron Man. This resulted in her endoskeletal extensors not responding. Later the virus was destroyed and Saberbat's armor worked again.

Marvel's sliding timescale works hard against the East in front of Germany because in reality East Germany (or Deutsche Demokratische Repulik) stopped existing in 1989. It is possible that history went different in the Marvel Universe, but until this is proven the East will stay in brackets.
