History:
(Dances with Demons#1 (fb) - BTS) - Ethan never forgave his own father, Nathaniel, for walking out on his mother.

(Dances with Demons#1 (fb) - BTS) - Ethan has left the reservation to go to college.

(Dances with Demons#1 (fb) - BTS) - Ethan told his son James that Nathaniel had abandoned his family before James was born.

(Dances with Demons#1 (fb) - BTS) - Ethan took James off the reservation and fought to get him into a good college. Ethan ended up a major player in entertainment law.

(Dances with Demons#1 (fb) - BTS) - Ethan and his wife went out on some industry party before James had the chance to ask them about his grandfather, of whose death he had recently dreamed.

(Dances with Demons#2) - The Manitou demon showed up at the Owl's house, and slew both Ethan and his wife. The Manitou demon skinned Ethan and magically used his flesh to assume his form in order to catch James unaware. When James arrived, the disguised Manitoy demon approached him, but Ethan's spirit managed to force the body to reveal the deception before Manitou could ambush James. Manitou then revealed himself, catalyzing James transformation into Ghost Dancer.

    The wife of Ethan and the mother of James, she fell for the Manitou demon's deception when he came to their house in the form of a police officer asking about her missing son. The demon slew her, and then slew Ethan.
