Powers/Abilities: Ojeeg was a member of the feral Wolverine tribe, a distinctive race on Never-Summer, and was covered in short ginger fur, as well as longer brown human-like hair. His face had feline features and green cat-like eyes, although his skeleton was humanoid. He was skilful in rudimentary weaponry, especially the crude axe which he carried with him. He wore animal skins and two red feathers, a symbol common to the Wolverine tribe. He also wore distinctive red facepaint. As leader, he had grown tired of the constant struggle for survival and the killing of other tribes just to stay alive. He had the welfare of his tribe and his world at heart.

DescriptionHistory:
(Micronauts I#57 (fb) - BTS) - As a rite of passage for manhood, Ojeeg was sent to climb  the nearby Sacred Mountain and kill a snowslayer.

(Micronauts I#57) - As chief of the Wolverine tribe and leader of this raiding party, Ojeeg watched a Beaver tribe encampment and waited for the right time to attack, which was swift, bloody and merciless. He then commanded his fellow Wolverine tribe members to gather the food, weapons and skins to take back to their native encampment. However, Ojeeg had grown weary of the constant struggle to survive in a climate of ceaseless winter with little resources and food. Once back at their own camp, the food and skins were distributed amongst the Wolverine tribe. Ojeeg took his share and went to the Shaman's domed lodge and offered his food to the old and blind seer. The shaman recounted that Never-Summer had not always been wintry and that the sun still shone above the clouds. However, it would take a warrior to remove that veil by climbing the Sacred Mountain.

Ojeeg then proceeded to climb the mountain, first encountering the silent Bioship of the Micronauts (Acroyear, Bug, Huntarr, Marionette, Arcturus Rann), before continuing upwards on sheer cliff faces, not too far behind the Micronauts, who had landed there to thwart Baron Karza's genocidal plan to destroy the world using the Sunscope. Ojeeg next encountered a snowslayer, which he knocked off a ledge, then continued to the sound of modern battle. Reaching the summit, Ojeeg discovered the Sunscope and initially thought of Baron Karza and DeGrayde as ice-gods. He climbed the Sunscope's platform and watched in reverence and bowed to them, although the translator was not able to decipher the Wolverine language for the despot. Karza then attacked Never-Summer with the Sunscope, incinerating all that lay in the path of its intense beam. Ojeeg saw Karza no more as a god, but instead as a devil and attacked with his axe, but was gunned down by Karza's chest cannons. Karza then threw Ojeeg's body off the platform onto the lens of the Sunscope. However, Ojeeg had survived and chose eternal winter for his people instead of death and thus leapt in a suicidal dive at the Sunscope's machinery, causing a large explosion that halted the Sunscope's destructive capabilities. The Micronauts later found the burnt skeleton of Ojeeg, never actually knowing how he had helped them in the war against Karza. However, while Ojeeg had died, his spirit looked down upon Never-Summer and smiled benevolently.

Description

Shaman

Shaman was an aged and respected member of the Wolverine tribe and a confidant of Ojeeg. He was old enough to remember when the sun still shone brightly and his world was not shrouded in ice and snow. He was completely blind due to ice glare, but was a seer. His visions led Ojeeg to climb the Sacred Mountain in order to return the sun to the land. With Ojeeg gone, the tribe members turned to Shaman for guidance once the sounds of battle reverberated from the Mountain. He led his people to the foot of the Mountain where he wanted them to pray for Ojeeg. However, Baron Karza's Sunscope weapon instead incinerated many of the Wolverine tribe until Ojeeg stopped it.

Shaman had his own lodge dwelling and relied on the kindness of others, including Ojeeg, for food. It is unknown if he survived Karza's attack.
