Powers/Abilities: Commander Morton was an experienced leader and tactician.

History: (Captain Savage and his Leatherneck Raiders#5) - Commander Morton arranged for the Leathernecks to manipulate Rolfe Harrison into a barfight so that they could blackmail him with the threat of a court martial into assisting them against Herbert Cholmondeley, who was printing fake Australian money for the Japanese. Morton arranged to have Harrison given a fake discharge so that he could infiltrate Cholmondeley's estate, and the Leathernecks returned with Cholmondeley and his money plates. Morton forced Cholmondeley to sign a confession which he was told would never be used as long as he remained outside of Australia.

(Captain Savage and his Leatherneck Raiders#8) - Commander Morton arranged for the Leathernecks to go on a mission to an island, supposedly to capture two Japanese generals who were there for a conference. In reality, all of the Japanese were members of Nisei Squadrons, and when the Leathernecks failed in their mission, Morton revealed that it was all a preparation for an upcoming mission alongside the Howling Commandos.

(Captain Savage and his Battlefield Raiders#9 (fb)) - Morton met with Captain Savage after a government agent mistook him for Jake Malloy, a gun runner. He told Savage that in order to prevent it from happening again, he would have to shave off his beard.

(Captain Savage and his Battlefield Raiders#11) - Morton determined that the Leatherneck Raiders were finally ready for the mission they had been training for, and assigned them alongside the Howling Commandos to invade a Japanese island where the anti-war American scientist Terry Reiker was being held. Morton also assigned Rolfe Harrison to join the Leathernecks for this mission.
