Powers/Abilities/Functions: The Monster Cephalopod was a genetically engineered octopus with powerful tentacles

History: (Strange Tales I#162) - When Nick Fury infiltrated the Chinatown base of the Yellow Claw (actually a robot double), he was recognized by the Claw and Fritz Von Voltzmann, and they opened a trap door beneath him, dropping him into the pool of the Monster Cephalopod.

(Strange Tales I#163) - The Monster Cephalopod attacked Fury, catching him in its tentacles, but he took out a folding bayonet and drove it between the creature's eyes. This apparently slew it, and Fury swam away to safety.

A cephalopod is defined as any member of the group of molluscs that include octopuses, squid, nautiluses and cuttlefishes.
