Powers/Abilities: He was a powerful and evil sorcerer who drew power from the self doubt of his foes and victims. He was master to monstrous beings and became immortal by transforming his spirit into an amulet. His most powerful spell was based upon the self-doubt of other beings which he could possess and transform into a dragon.

History: (Marvel Super-Heroes III#4/6 (fb) ) - In the 12th Century the evil sorcerer Kalmari watched his minions fight the Black Knight in a swamp. When his minions were defeated he taunted the Black Knight that he couldn't stop Kalmari without killing him. The Black Knight overcame his self-doubt and impaled Kalmari with the Ebony Blade. Kalmari disappeared with a curse on his lips and only his amulet was left behind.

(Marvel Super-Heroes III#4/6) - In modern days the amulet came into the possession of Annie. Kalmari's soul lived within the amulet and he promised to help her against her ex-husband. Average men were transformed into knights and attacked her ex-husband when he tried to get his son Jason back from her. The Black Knight stopped the knights and when the police arrested them their armors and weapons dissolved. The Black Knight fought more knights on a roof and they retreated. He found Annie and saw the amulet she wore, but she didn't want to give it to him when he asked her to. She asked Kalmari for help once again, but she was just a pawn for him. He took possession of Annie, transformed her into a dragon and attacked the Black Knight. When the Black Knight convinced Annie that he didn't want to fight her and that she endangered her son's life, she resolved her doubts and became human again. Kalmari left her body and once again made the mistake to taunt the Black Knight that he wasn't defeated yet. The Black Knight destroyed the Kalmari's glowing amulet and thereby destroyed Kalmari once and for all.

Kalmari's monstrous minions from the 12th Century were likely transformed humans or they were demons summoned from the pits of hell.

Annie

Annie was a divorced woman from Manhattan, who had lost her parental authority over her son Jason to her ex-husband. When she came into possession of Kalmari's amulet she took the sorcerer's offer for help to stay with her son, but the Black Knight interfered with her plan and she asked Kalmari for help again when she was found by the Black Knight. This time Kalmari didn't want to help and revealed that she was just a pawn to him. Her self-doubt enabled Kalmari to take possession of Annie and she was transformed into a dragon. As a dragon she attacked the Black Knight and nearly killed her own son when she hit a water-tower and it threatened to bury him, but the Black Knight was there to save him. Their fight continued until Black Knight landed on the roof and told Annie that he didn't came to fight her. He told her that her self-doubt gave Kalmari power over her and that she had endangered her own son. Annie saw Jason's tears, resolved her doubts and hugged Jason when she became human again. Back on the street she was arrested and Jason had to leave with her ex-husband.
