Occupation: Gold-thief

Known Relatives: None

Aliases: "That malevolent alien"

Base of Operations: Mobile

First Appearance: Hostess Twinkies ad "The Power of Gold!", various Marvel Comics published November, 1980 - including Micronauts I#23)

Powers/Abilities: Impercepto was a diminutive alien who had the ability to become invisible.  In some way, Impercepto used the metal, gold, for energy. Ironically, his major weakness was the reaction of his DNA structure when he came into contact with the color, gold, and he was forcibly rendered visible.

History: Mr. Fantastic was concerned that a museum's exhibit of gold would attract  the attention of the alien gold-thief Impercepto.  As Richards engaged Impercepto in battle, he found the struggle pointless as he could not find the invisible outlaw.  Remembering Impercepto's weakness (materializing when he comes into contact with gold), Richards used the next best thing...Hostess Twinkies with GOLDEN sponge cake and creamy filling. Upon making contact with the tasty terrestrial treat, the tiny terror materialized and was ensnared by Mr. Fantastic.

Impercepto was mentioned in the Appendix to the Fantastic Four Encyclopedia.

You can get the whole story, and some clever commentary from Seanbaby's The Hostess Page. It might not meet with the Comics Code Authority's approval, so kids, ask your parents before checking that out!
