HYDRA-PILLER

Classification: Terrestrial technology

Creator: Unrevealed

Users/Possessors: Hydra

First Appearance: Strange Tales I#153/1 (February, 1967)

Powers/Abilities/Functions: The Hydra-Piller was a tank which had two gun turrets on top and one side turret, and could carry around a dozen men inside.

History: (Strange Tales I#153/1) - After a team of Hydra agents on motorcycle captured Laura Brown, Jasper Sitwell and Gabe Jones, they began to load them inside of a Hydra-Piller to make their escape, but Nick Fury and Dum-Dum Dugan arrived on board the Hydra-Ram they had stolen from Hyrda earlier. The Hydra-Ram managed to hold its own against the Hydra-Piller's barrage, but Fury and his friends were unable to escape until a team of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents came to reinforce them. S.H.I.E.L.D. agent John Bronson (actually Baron Strucker in diguise wearing an epiderm-mask) fired a gas pellet inside of the Hydra-Piller that forced the tank's operators to come out and surrender.

(Daredevil I#121) - Hydra agents under the command of Silvermane drove three Hydra-Pillers into an attempt at capturing Franklin "Foggy" Nelson, but Nick Fury led a team of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents against them and destroyed all three tanks.
