History: (Tales to Astonish I#21/2) - A new movie called The Hulk opened. In it, a giant creature terrorized mankind before being disposed of. After the audience left, the screen came back on and the Hulk reappeared. He stepped out of the screen, into the empty theater.  This was revealed to still be part of the movie, with another audience still watching.  The Hulk then came through this screen, sending the crowd running. Yet again, this was revealed to still be the movie, and the Hulk continued to walk towards the screen.  However, he started to turn back, but then reached out and into the audience.

Comments: Created by Steve Ditko and ???.

Originally, much like Xemnu the Titan, this creature was called the Hulk. However, in reprints (such as Where Monsters Dwell#8), all references were changed to the Glop, to avoid confusion with a certain green hero. They did miss one, though, and on the marqee, one of the signs in WMD8 still reads "The Hulk."

BTW, this is a shot from the reprint in Where Monsters Dwell#8.
