Powers/Abilities/Functions: The Voodoo King was made of solid gold that had been enchanted with voodoo spells. It could not be damaged through conventional means, and if someone attempted to steal it, the Voodoo King physically bonded to the thief.

History: (Journey into Mystery I#82/3) - The Voodoo King was sacred to a Voodoo Tribe living in a jungle outpost. The King was stolen by a prisoner passing through the outpost, but the thief regretted his actions as soon as he realized the Voodoo King had inexorably bonded to his hands.

 

 

Comments: Created by an unnamed writer and Gene Colan.

As with many 1950's and 1960's Marvel monster stories, this story is not confirmed as part of Earth-616 continuity, but there's nothing to exclude it either.

He stole the Voodoo King in hopes of making a fortune by selling it, but soon discovered that it was permanently attached to his hands. He considered asking the Voodoo Tribe for help, but realized they would kill him before they would help him.
