History: (Strange Tales I#165) - S.H.I.E.L.D. dispatched its Suicide Squad alongside its Sky Commandos in a raid upon the Sky Dragon, floating fortress of the Yellow Claw (actually a robot double operated by Dr. Doom). The Suicide Squad confronted the Yellow Claw robot, but it defeated them with a psychic blast that knocked them all unconscious.

(Strange Tales I#167) - The Suicide Squad assisted in the final raid upon the Yellow Claw robot's underwater fortress, defeating his forces.

(Avengers I#67) - After Ultron was rebuilt from adamantium stolen from the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier by the Vision, "Dum-Dum" Dugan and Valentina De La Fontaine assigned a four-member Suicide Squad of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents to track the adamantium down. Their search brought them to Ultron's base, where they found the Vision. Believing him to still be rogue, the agents attacked him with vibro-guns, and knocked him unconscious.

(Avengers I#68) - After the Vision dismantled a bomb Ultron had attempted to activate, the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents realized that he was no longer their enemy, and allowed the Avengers to take him into their custody.
