DON VINCENZO PARDO

Real Name: Vincenzo Pardo

Identity/Class: Human

Occupation: Crimeboss

Group Membership: Cavalea Family

Affiliations: His henchmen

Enemies: Mario "Shorty" Locasio

Known Relatives: An unnamed daughter.

Aliases: None

Base of Operations: New York City

First Appearance: Deadpool III#57 (October, 2001)

Powers/Abilities: Don Vincenzo was a powerful member of a New York crime family and had the connections and money that would give him.

History: (Deadpool III#57)- The Don sat down in a restaurant with "Shorty" Locasio, a low-level crook who owed the Don money, not realizing that Shorty had hired Deadpool to assassinate the Don when he gave the signal. Shorty told the Don he was never going to give him anything else, threw the Don's linguini in his face and admitted to messing around with the Don's daughter. Shorty then knocked over the table, which should have been the signal to Deadpool, but Deadpool had been attacked by Sabretooth. The Don told his henchmen to kill Shorty.

(Deadpool III#62) - Don Pardo had a meeting, which was interrupted by Deadpool (or at least one of his personality traits given form by the Gemini Star, an item granted to T-Ray by Thanos). The psychotic killer aspect of Deadpool slew Pardo's men and then shot him in the head...through his mouth, slaying Pardo as well.

It's worth noting that he's probably named after legendary TV announcer Don Pardo (Saturday Night Live, Jeopardy, etc.)

Thanks to Doug Stone for pointing out Don Pardo's appearance in Deadpool III#62.

CLARIFICATIONS:
Don Vincenzo Pardo should not be confused with:

Mario "Shorty" Locasio was a minor oranized crime figure who owed money to Don Vencenzo Pardo. Figuring the money would be better spent having the Don killed, he hired Deadpool to wait outside while he met with the Don. Shorty sat down with the Don and told the Don he wouldn't be paying him back, flung his food into his face and confessed to fooling around with the Don's daughter. He knocked over the table, which was the signal, and was horrified when Deadpool (he'd had been attacked by Sabretooth) didn't fire. The Don ordered his men to kill Shorty.
