History:
(Thor I#410/2) - Wylar belonged to a band of brigands in Asgard who
would ambush unwary travelers on country roads and rob them of their
wealth. One evening, a member of the brigands saw the Asgardian hero
Volstagg become terrifically drunk at a tavern. Notifying his cohorts,
the six brigands lay in wait on the road outside the town to ambush
Volstagg when he staggered by.
When Volstagg came by on his horse, the six men leaped down from a hill out on the road and dragged him from his saddle. Although they were armed with clubs and had Volstagg outnumbered, the hero fought back against the brigands and snapped a limb off a tree to use as a staff against them. Although his movements were sluggish and clumsy, Volstagg repeatedly overcame the brigands as they tried to fight him. Volstagg used his makeshift staff to press Wylar against the side of the hill and Wylar struggled, grabbing the staff in an effort to push himself free. Instead, Volstagg spun around and swung Wylar into two of his allies, knocking all of them down. Volstagg ultimately defeated all of the brigands then shambled back on his way home.

While he may not have displayed any superhuman abilities, Wylar, as an Asgardian, presumably had the same superhuman physical attributes such as strength, durability, endurance, etc. that most Asgardians possess. --Proto-Man
