Powers/Abilities: The Witch-Queen had powers of witchcraft that increased based on the number of those serving her. These powers allowed her to cast spells with various effects including translating her native language into other languages those she spoke to could understand, controlling a small army of undead mummies and sending other beings through time.

    She also possessed a flying glider, dubbed her winged Stone-Steed.

History: (Amazing Fantasy I#1000 / 6 (fb)) - The Witch-Queen was an empress in ancient Egypt during a period where it was plagued with great drought. In an effort to improve conditions, the Witch-Queen cast a large spell that allowed her small army of living mummies to travel through time seeking out whatever the land needed the most. The mummies brought back new slaves for the Witch-Queen from across time, one of which was the modern era criminal Rocco Rank, whom one of the mummies had helped escape the police via a sarcophagus that transported him to the Witch-Queen's era. While forced to work as one of the Witch-Queen's slaves, Rocco told stories of the modern era that made their way back to the Witch-Queen herself. Brought before her, Rocco told the Witch-Queen about untold riches and all sorts of marvelous conveniences like hot and cold running water, prompting her to seek out the riches herself by traveling to the modern era and conquering it.

(Amazing Fantasy I#1000 / 6) - Emerging from the museum-based sarcophagus that had brought Rocco to the modern era, the Witch-Queen announced her plans to conquer the world, drawing the attention of student Peter Parker, who changed into his Spider-Man costume to stop her. After a brief battle and a recounting of her origin, the Witch-Queen flew through a window into New York City but Spider-Man pursued, showing the Witch-Queen the reality of modern day New York. Overwhelmed by the pollution, towering buildings and automated transit, the Witch-Queen decided to leave the "insane world" behind. As she ordered her mummy army back through the sarcophagus, Spider-Man threatened to pursue her unless she released the time-displaced slaves she had acquired and once she back in her own time period, Spider-Man webbed the sarcophagus shut, preventing further travel to the modern era until the sarcophagus could be turned over to the mystic Doctor Strange.

    It was not clear how the Witch-Queen acquired her Stone-Steed. It looked very technological and modern but, given that she flew into the modern era on it and referred to it as a "Stone-Steed," it stands to reason it was likely sculpted out of stone in her own area and magically animated to fly by the Witch-Queen herself. --Proto-Man
