Powers/Abilities: The Utah Kid was an excellent marksman and a fast draw with a six-gun. He usually carried two six-guns on his gun belt. He was also a fine horse rider.

History:
(Outlaw Fighters I#4/2 (fb)) - When the Utah Kid was a teenager, he was in a card game in the town of Cheyenne and accused his opponent Lance of cheating. Lance drew a gun on him but the Utah Kid quickly drew his own guns and shot Lance to death. When one of Lance's friends tried to draw on him, the Utah Kid shot him as well and threatened to do the same to anyone else who drew on him. Cheyenne's sheriff tried to resolve the matter peacefully but the Kid fired a bullet through the brim of the sheriff's hat as a warning then rode out of Cheyenne.

    The Utah Kid soon became a famous outlaw. Eventually, he rode into the mountains where the Hole-in-the-Wall Gang were based. The gang took him prisoner and brought him to their leader, Butch Cassidy. Cassidy had heard of him and invited the Kid to join the gang. For several years, the Kid joined the Hole-in-the-Wall Gang in a series of robberies. The gang would routinely separate and go into hiding when the law was coming too close to them. During those times, the Utah Kid always took off on his own, hiding out at the ranch his sister owned in the Black Hills.

    At one point, Butch Cassidy wondered where the Kid's hideout was and Fargo Bates offered to trail him and find out. However, the Kid soon realized he was being followed and ambushed Bates then killed him. Two months later, the Hole-in-the-Wall Gang raided the Nightingale ranch and during a gunfight with the ranch's cowboys, the Kid was wounded. The gang split up and the Kid rode off to his sister, who tended to his wound.

    While recovering, the Kid took an interest in his younger brother Danny and started teaching him how to wield a gun. Fresno of the Hole-in-the-Wall Gang discovered the Kid at the ranch and threatened to report on his location to Cassidy but the Kid killed Fresno to silence him. The Kid's sister ordered him to leave the ranch but the Kid intended to depart with Danny and teach him to be his partner so that he would build a gang he could trust. When Sheriff Cullen came to the ranch to investigate the sound of gunshots, the Kid drew his gun on the sheriff. To save the sheriff, the Kid's sister took a gun off Fresno's body and shot her brother in the back.

(Outlaw Fighters I#4/2) - The Utah Kid stumbled and died from his wound. The sheriff informed Danny that he was the one who killed the Kid and advised Danny not to take after his brother's ways.

Fargo Bates was a member of the Hole-in-the-Wall Gang. He once attempted to trail the Utah Kid back to his hideout but the Kid noticed him then ambushed and shot him to death.

Danny Blaine

Danny was the Utah Kid's younger brother and lived on a ranch in the Black Hills with their sister. While recovering from a gunshot wound, the Kid took an interest in Danny and started teaching him how to use a gun, hoping to start his own gang with Danny as the first member. However, after his sister killed the Kid, Sheriff Dan Cullen claimed he was responsible and Danny was impressed by this and resolved not to follow in his brother's footsteps.

Sheriff Dan Cullen

Sheriff Dan Cullen was the lawman where the Utah Kid's sister lived and was a good friend to her. When the sheriff investigated the death of Fresno, the Utah Kid was about to shoot him but his sister took Fresno's gun and shot her brother in the back. The sheriff told Danny Blaine he was the one who killed the Kid, helping to dissuade Danny from becoming an outlaw like his brother.

Fresno

Fresno was a member of the Hole-in-the-Wall Gang. Fresno discovered that the Utah Kid had been using his sister's ranch as a hideout and threatened to inform on him to Butch Cassidy but the Kid shot Fresno to death. The Kid's sister later used Fresno's gun to shoot her brother.

Lance

Lance was a gambler in Cheyenne that played cards against the Utah Kid when he was a teenager. When the Kid accused Lance of cheating at cards, Lance drew his gun on him. However, the Utah Kid quickly drew his own guns and shot Lance to death.

The Utah Kid and Danny Blaine's sister owned a ranch in the Black Hills and she permitted the Kid to use it as his hideout while evading the law. However, she wanted the Kid to give up his criminal ways. When the Kid took an interest in mentoring Danny into becoming an outlaw then threatened the life of her friend Sheriff Dan Cullen, she took a gun from the dead man Fresno and used it to kill the Kid. However, the sheriff took credit for the Kid's death in the hope it would dissuade Danny from becoming an outlaw.
