Powers/Abilities: Suspensor possessed energetic repulsor powers (quantified as Class Six energetic repulsor powers by the Xandarian Worldmind).

    She may or may not have possessed additional abilities, but she did not demonstrate them in her limited appearances.


Height: Unrevealed (approximately 5'9")
Weight: Unrevealed (difficult to approximate without knowing her density; approximately 135 lbs. at human density)
Eyes: Solid white
Hair: Green, only in bunches running over the top of her head and a long ponytail
Skin: Perhaps gray or light blue (only seen in shadows and glares)

History:

(Nova IV#9 (fb) - BTS) - Suspensor was one of the Luminals a team of over fifty superhumans from dozens of worlds and operating out of the planet Xarth III.

    As the Luminals' archenemy, Abyss, always escaped out of what they contained it in, they brought his containment unit to Knowhere, the disembodied head of a Celestial floating by the Rip on the edge of the universe; they planned to cast Abyss into the Rip to destroy it.

    As Abyss began to escape its containment, a pair of Knowhere residents were found to fused into the bulkhead. New and strange energy readings were traced into an area reserved for the Xarthian delegation.





suspensor-luminals-full-decom(Nova IV#9 (fb)) - Suspensor was present alongside Crater, Cynosure, Discharge and Faze when Cosmo questioned the Luminals about the large box that they had brought in.

     Cynosure assured Cosmo that there were no problems and that his instruments must have been faulty.

(Nova IV#9 (fb) - BTS) - The next day, an apparent mass haunting occurred in the main meeting place, and people died, resulting in mass panic. Cosmo ordered an emergency lockdown, and he got everyone to safety in a dimensional envelope that he kept in his collar. suspensor-luminals-dest

(Nova IV#8 (fb) - BTS) - Suspensor was driven to madness by Abyss.

(Nova IV#8) - After Nova (Rich Rider) arrived on Knowhere, he encountered the sobbing Suspensor, who kept repeating some combination of "Ready or not," and "In the shadows. Abyss. Coming."

     As Nova futilely tried to communicate with her, generating light to dispel the shadows, Worldmind identified her as Suspensor of the Luminals.

    Eventually, Suspensor had energy discharge from her eyes, mouth and body, striking Nova, after which she decomposed to a more zombie-like form and then began firing energy blasts at him.

    Nova fired a collimated beam from his right hand to defend himself, and Suspensor unexpectedly was blown up by the energy. Rich considered that she was like the living dead or something.

(Nova IV#8 - BTS) - Suspensor's teammates Crater, Cynosure and Discharge then arrived, accused Nova of murdering her and then attacked him. His powers limited by containing the transmode virus, Nova fled.

    The Luminals on board Knowhere later were transformed by Abyss.

(Nova IV#9 - BTS) - Nova restored Abyss' containment unit.

suspensor-luminals-face-tears    In the one image in which she is seen in Nova IV#9, the red lightning bolt designs on the sides of her head did not join at the front of her forehead, but they did in the images in Nova IV#8. Perhaps they are makeup or something that she can adjust (the two appearances were a couple days apart), or perhaps it varies based on time of day, her mood, etc.

    This profile was completed 07/06/2026, but its publication was delayed as it was intended for the Appendix 25th anniversary 's celebratory event.
