History:
(Generation Hope I#6 - BTS) - As the unborn "Sixth Light" neared the time of his birth he attempted to prevent his coming to term. His latent mutant powers activated early and began to shut down everyone in the hospital where his mother had gone to deliver, rendering them unconscious and placing his own mother's body under his control. When a team of mutants led by Hope Summers came to investigate the "Sxith Light" and shielded themselves from his power using Kenji Uedo's mutant power, the "Sixth Light" caused the unconscious hospital staff and patients to revive and assault them, fearing they would force him to be born.
(Generation Hope I#7) - The "Sixth Light" began to expand his control to the area immediately outside the hospital, placing Kitty Pryde and Idie Okonkwo under his control. Kenji Uedo barricaded them into a room to hold out the people under the "Sixth Light"'s control; Laurie Tromette grabbed Idie and flew her away from the hospital to place her beyond the "Sixth Light"'s range.
Laurie returned with Idie and once they were shielded from the "Sixth Light," Laurie suggested the team should attempt to convince the "Sixth Light" it was worthwhile being born. Linking the team to the infant's mother, each attempted to reason with him. Hope tried to convince the "Sixth Light" it was worthwhile to go forward, but this didn't convince him. Lauri observed that Berlin was a terrific city to be raised in and therefore his life would be meaningful, but this didn't convince him. Idie suggested the "Sixth Light" should be born so that he would be baptized and thereby he wouldn't go to Hell, which was not a compelling argument. Kenji, being a nihlist, refused to argue on behalf of life. Finally, Teon connected to the "Sixth Light" and through his own simple, childlike wonder of the world, convinced the "Sixth Light" to be born.
Just as Teon made his argument, the "Sixth Light" was born. Moments later, his mutant powers faded and all the people under his control were restored to their autonomy. Hope determined his X-Gene would resurface around age 13 when he went through puberty.

CLARIFICATIONS:
"The Sixth Light" should not be confused with:

The "Sixth Light"'s mother was a German woman in Berlin. When she was ready to deliver her son, his mutant power activated and he attempted to prevent his birth, placing her and all the staff of the hospital under his psychic control. When Teon convinced the "Sixth Light" to be born, he painlessly exited the womb; moments later, his powers faded and the mother was returned to normal.
