Powers/Abilities: Scythe was a mutant that could perfectly copy another beings DNA after touching them, granting her whatever abilities the other being possessed.
While in the form of a dragonfly she could fly. Gravestone's form not only granted her the power to resurrect after dying, but also the power to reanimate the dead. Retaining Gravestone's form and powers also allowed her to add more powers from other beings without copying their physical appearance. She added Bogg's power to manipulate cellular matter and his invulnerability while in Gravestone's form. Bogg's powers allowed her to slightly alter Gravestone's form and turn his fingers into talons that could cut through flesh and bone with ease.

History:
(Gravestone#4/1) - The mutant girl later known as Scythe was one of the
denizens of Sluggtown that had been brought to Earth-1136 from
Earth-29245 along with their city. She was attacked by another mutant,
who called her a witch and blamed her for being alone now for some
unknown reason while she begged for mercy. Gravestone saved the mutant
girl from the male, but she ran away when reporter Christine Daniels
tried to console her. Christine was afraid that such a cute mutant girl
was going to be victimized by every mutant freak around with no chance
to defense herself. Around the corner Scythe watched Gravestone and
Christine talked about her and followed the former unnoticed after
catching a dragonfly, squashing it and shapeshifting into the flying
bug's form and touching him in the this form. In Gravestone's lair
Scythe shapeshifted into Gravestone's form and tried to kill him after
absorbing his memories and powers, in an attempt to replace him. Posing
as Gravestone, Scythe heard gunfire nearby and rushed to the location to
aid Christine Michaels against the mutant Bogg. Scythe told Bogg to
crawl back to the sewers, but got sucked into the mutant's form.
(Gravestone#5 (fb) - BTS) - Scythe drowned inside Bogg's oozing tissue, but was reanimated by the powers she had copied from Gravestone. She retained Gravestone's form, which allowed her to possess Gravestone's essence and Bogg's cellular manipulation and invulnerability at the same time.
(Gravestone#4/1) - Scythe broke free by cutting her way out of Bogg's form and apparently killed him.
(Gravestone#5) - While still posing as Gravestone, Scythe took the unconscious Christine to soldiers guarding the perimeter around Sluggtown. Even though one of the soldiers promised to get Christine to a hospital within fifteen minutes, Scythe took umbrage with his comment about Christine's good looks and slew him because to her he seemed to be just another lustful predator like the mutants she had to deal with in Sluggtown. The second soldier tried to defend his colleague, but was slain by Scythe as well for being an accomplice. Christine escaped in the chaos, shocked that whom she believed to be Gravestone had killed two soldiers for her.
(Gravestone#5 - BTS) - Gravestone's examination of his attacker's DNA confirmed that it had mutated into a perfect match of his own DNA. Arc and Piper offered their aid against the mutant shapeshifter, but Gravestone wanted to deal with his darker doppelganger by himself.
Meanwhile Christine delivered her story about Gravestone's murders to her boss, but he wouldn't run the story because she had no real proof aside from a few blurry photos. She left and planned to go to another network to run the story.
(Gravestone#5) - Scythe, still in Gravestone's form, killed a criminal biker gang after they shot a man standing on the side of the road. The woman that was riding with the biker gang swore that she was not with them and was sure Gravestone wouldn't hurt her because he was one of the Protectors, but Scythe killed her after correcting her that she was actually Scythe and not Gravestone.
Scythe sought out Christine and went to her apartment, but Gravestone had already taken her to his subterranean lair to protect her from Scythe. The mutant easily tracked them down due to the earth he found in Christine's apartment and tried to save Christine, but Gravestone attacked the murdering mutant. Christine finally realized that the Gravestone that had just arrived was the one that had killed the soldiers and Bogg. Scythe used the combined powers of Gravestone and Bogg against Gravestone, who impaled her on a stone spike on the ground. Scythe came back to life almost immediately and then reanimated the skeletons buried in the ground. While Gravestone fought the skeletons he asked Christine to get him the chest containing Medusa's head from his collection. Scythe confronted Christine, called her a traitor and threatened to kill and then reanimate her to force her to adore Scythe. Gravestone broke free from the skeletons, took Medusa's head from the chest and used it against Scythe, who was turned into stone by gazing into Medusa's eyes.

On Earth-29245 those mutated during the war were called mutants even though they were practically what we would consider mutates.
It is unknown whether blonde female seen in #4 was Scythe's original form or just one she copied. It is also unknown whether Scythe was originally female.
The way her attacker in #4 reacted to her, it seemed like all the people the attacker had been associated with fell victim to Scythe, who clearly had a grudge against abusive men. She was probably victimized in the past and went full serial killer mode on whoever she believed to be a possible abuser.
