History:
(Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe A to Z HC Vol. 1 - Avengers
entry - BTS) - Hector Sandrose took a job at Avengers Compound as the
west coast Avengers' communications chief.
(USAgent I#1) - Unable to
sleep, the heroic USAgent ventured down to the Avengers Compound
communications center, where communications worker Hector Sandrose was
monitoring incoming calls. When USAgent asked if there had been any
calls and expressed an interest in finding a mission to occupy his
time, Hector admitted that it had been unusually quiet in his sector
that night. USAgent then asked if he could wait for some incoming calls
alongside Hector and a somewhat nervous Hector commented that USAgent
could wait wherever he wanted. As the next hour passed in silence,
USAgent watched Hector work and thought about how the two of them
didn't have much in common aside from a conscientious streak. Hector
soon received a distress call and USAgent grabbed the communications
equipment from Hector to assure the caller that he would be there to
help in no time. Returning the equipment back to Hector, USAgent
ordered Hector to get the caller's address and send it to him via his
Avengers Communicard. Hector exclaimed "Yessir!" as the USAgent ran off
to assist the female caller. A short time later, Hector found the
caller's address and communicated the information over to USAgent,
sending the hero into a bar on Melrose Avenue.
